To produce the highest-quality wines that are not only delicious but respectful of the earth, Mr. Mullin has cultivated a growing philosophy that is rooted in sustainability. Chemicals are never used on Mullin vines. Instead, the grapes are fertilized via organic means like manure and field bean for a well-balanced nitrogen contribution and rich composition.
Keeping with his conscious growing philosophy, Mr. Mullin utilizes an aquaponics system to grow produce at his private residence in Big Sur, California. The ancient farming method combines conventional aquaculture with hydroponics in a completely symbiotic environment, where no chemicals are present. Once harvested, the produce is then enjoyed by local businesses.
